Fantasy Character Sketch-Sven

10/27 Edit: Newer version with some tweaking to the shadows.

My first major project in Digital Painting. The assignment was to imagine a character and environment and to execute a scene featuring the two.

I came up with a kobold miner named Sven, seen here investigating a deserted section of the mines he and the rest of his warren call home. He's not a professional adventurer by any means, but that won't stop him from doing his duty to his warren.

I'll probably do a few more images of him as the class goes on. He was fun to design.
